MAKE IT: WEDDING CRAFT FOR ETSY

I recently produced a festive wedding craft guest blog for Etsy, which has gone live today. Make three glitzy cake decorations that are perfect for weddings as well as any other party occasion (because it's never not time for glitter and metallics!). Click here to learn how to make sparkly cake letters, miniature cake bunting, and gemstone cupcake toppers. And thank you for having me Etsy!

NEW SHOP TREATS

I just realised how insanely hectic things have been over the last few months. I've been working on many different creative projects, some of which I have written about here. I don't even know how I have found the time to do normal things like eat, or why I am still even awake right now given that it's almost 3am and I'm delirious. Is this blog post even making sense!? I don't think I have ever been this busy (happy, yet busy) in my entire life, but somehow in between cutting, pasting, sticking, colouring, and sewing I have managed to update my Etsy shop with some new handmade wares. What do you think?

MOBILE MAKING + ME

My first class for Megan Morton's School was held a couple of weeks ago and was truly great. It was so inspiring and rewarding to watch my group of mini makers play with colours and shapes, then cut and paste their way through my mobile workshop. I was so proud of their creations. Girls, you are amazing, thank you! My next mobile class is scheduled for Sunday 20 May. Bookings can be made here.

STYLE INSPIRATION

The new Calypso collection from Topshop is blowing my mind. I don't care if it's way too ridiculously cold to be wearing teensy tops, I want to look like this every day.

FLOWERBOMBS WITH HOLLY HIPWELL

I recently attended a class at Megan Morton's School - a fantastic place where anyone can come and learn how to make amazing things and indulge their creative side. The talented Holly Hipwell of The Flower Drum taught us how to make beautiful and colourful living flowerbombs and it was so rad! I have since taught my very own class at The School - Making Mobiles - which I'll post about soon and will be hosting some more in the near future. If you're interested in taking a class you can book in here.

DIY: BIG THINGS X WORLD PARTY DAY

Aw. It's kind of sad to be posting the last World Party Day tutorial. But I'm happy that I saved this one for last. It's from my sister-from-another-mister, Rebecca of Big Things fame, my party planning partner, and talented friend.

Battling an 18 hour time difference, Rebecca and I spent HOURS plotting World Party domination from opposite ends of the globe - sending frenzied emails and text messages back and forth and Skyping at all sorts of abnormal hours, often half asleep. We got SO excited so many times, screamed out loud on trains and in cabs, sent cute photos of our daily outfits and grumpy morning facial expressions, and texted while brushing our teeth. Plans were derailed by hysterical gossip sessions and many, many Google Docs were created and meticulously populated with incredible ideas. It was GREAT! I am so lucky to call this amazing girl my friend and to be plotting and planning more big things together for the very near future.

Rebecca made these rad World Party Day badges and created this fun tutorial on how to decorate the shit out of them.

Add Rebecca on Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook, and visit the Big Things website to find out more about her many inspiring projects.

Love you girl! xx
